compliments are better 
from a motorcycle 
the kitchen sink
only comes from Maui
an evening burnished
with black chalk 
tastes like toscana

don't force it
don't sate yourself with 
halves 
know satisfaction 
from something like 
a piece of cheesecake 
for dinner 

sphinxes keep look out
while I read, as I'm bit 
from things I can't see 
rasperries and hazelnuts
are used for liquor 
and people change
speaking their native tongue
